What is DJI MAVIC 3:
The new DJI Mavic 3 drone takes design elements from the phantom series and inspire series with a H frame design for increased stability, speed, and accuracy.
DJI may be building the best features from their various drones into one awesome drone platform.
This is a drone with an interchangeable camera that makes it easier to take photos in specific exposures.
Imagine a drone with the flying capability of the inspire 2, matched with the mapping capability of phantom 4 pros combined with the color gamut of a Hasselblad sensor on the Mavic 2.
DJI Mavic 3 design:
Now they are coming with a new folding design. This folding design would allow for the arms to fold over the center frame of the aircraft. This would also make the center of gravity very low as well. With a lowered CG, we can expect an aircraft to have increased stability and maneuverability. DJI has steadily increased stability in the Mavic series by offering folding props and cantered motors.
The inspire 2 and inspire 1 aircraft offers increased maneuverability and stability due to the H frame build of the aircraft. DJI's new patent indicates this H frame design may be evident in the new Mavic 3. Yet, the H frame design is not a design we have seen before.
Magnet-Enable Landing System Patent:
DJI has designed drone docking technology that uses magnets to help a drone land in a specific location.
Magnet-enable docking technology would not just help the drone land in a specific spot, but could also help it hover above that location.
Docking is a big concern for drone delivery, especially in urban areas where there is no margin for errors when it comes to where you land.
DJI Mavic 3 release date:
Following the release of DJI Mavic Air 2, a lot of drone lovers started carrying rumors about the upcoming DJI Mavic 3 release date. That's no surprise because, as with the smartphone industry, the drone industry is very important.
If the rumor is anything to go by, we should expect the DJI Mavic 3 to drop by the end of this year. But when exactly should we be expecting it?
Although there is no official word yet, we have seen a lot of suggestions lately. While some suggested we should expect it in summer. Since we did not see it in January. We will have to wait and see what will happen between June and September.
Folks at Drone XL have learned from a reliable source that DJI is planning to unveil the Mavic 3 on September 26th. The unveiling event would take place at 10 AM, EST. Notably, September 26th falls on a Saturday which is unusual for DJI. But considering it will be an online event, DJI could get a bigger audience to attend the launch event on Saturday.
According to Drone-DJ, the Chinese company was planning to release three drones in 2020-the Mavic Air 2, the Mavic 3, and the Matric 300.
DroneDJ has a source which said that the company has decided not to release the DJI Mavic 3 in 2020 because the Mavic 2 continues to fly off the shelves. It makes little sense for a company to bring a successor when the older model is still selling like a hotcake. However, the company can change its plans any time depending on market competition.
