Mavic Pro: 999$
Mavic Pro 2: 1749$
Pretty much the same. The flight time is stated to be about 30min, but we all know that the mavics don't last that long. Best at constant flying you will have about 20min.
One of the new features of the Mavic Pro two is its versatile obstacle avoidance. While the previous model only had two cameras and barely could avoid anything, the Mavic Pro 2 comes with 6 cameras and can follow in Active Track seamlessly.
One of the best additions to the Mavic is its 1 billion colors recogniction via a Hassalbad camera. In the past year, DJI partnered with Hassalbad and encouperated the camera into the drone. This an impressive feat because the previous model could only detect 16 million colors.
Also the Mavic Pro 2 got an upgrade in speed which now allows it to travel 72kph instead of the previous 65kph.
The Iso range is the range of light that the camera can see. Decreasing it allows the drone to see in the dark but comes at the cost of grainy photos.
The Mavic Pro 2 has a range of 100-12800 ISO while the Mavic Pro only has a range of 100-3200.
Both drones can create photos of very high dynamic ranges for common droner. The ability for each drone to be fold-up allows for ease of carry and verbatim use. The Mavic Pro is a great drone and if you are willing to spend a little more the Mavic Pro 2 is entirely worth it. The range of colors and the ISO makes the drone perfect for common use. It really depends how much you are willing to spend for the drone. But both are 100% worth it.
